The Basecamp3 creative industries enterprise hub was launched in January 2010 and currently provides 30 desk spaces for creative
entrepreneurs and is home to 12 different businesses the management/business support team, a Digital art studio, an accountant specialising in supporting creative businesses, a number of developers, programmers and consultants from the games industry, a 2D animator, web developers and online marketing specialists, a digital marketing consultant, graphic designers, motion graphics producers, a record label and photographers.
The project received a global incubation award at the 9th Annual Incubation Awards in the “combining Entrepreneurship with creativity & culture” category.

Setgo Limited builds tools and digital content for all open, connected and social gaming platforms. The company was co-founded by Jason Chown (Technical Director), Christian Lavoie (Creative Director) and Clemens Wangerin (Managing Director), who spent several years in game development positions at Psygnosis, Ocean, Microprose, Softimage and Sony Computer Entertainment prior to co-founding Setgo.


I am a freelance web & graphic designer based in Liverpool. I have been working in the web design industry since 2008 and full-time as freelancer since January 2010. I specialise in designing and building bespoke WordPress themes to create everything from brochure websites to blogs and directory websites. I also help to create memorable brand identities by designing logos as well as mascot / character designs. Happycry is a small web design & branding studio based in Liverpool. We help you to create
loveable design and usable websites.
What does Happycry mean? Well, by our own very high standards, our work has to look top–
notch (this takes blood sweat & tears). It has to provoke emotion. It has to tread the lines of right
and wrong – This is how you make something special.
It’s not all about looking good though (the design, not us!). Our websites are super simple to
use. Do we do SEO? Well yes, but that’s never an option, it comes as standard. We don’t focus
on search–engine robots though. We focus on your users, the people (the humans!) that will be
using your wonderful website. They’re what it’s all about.
